Tim Nylen is a healthcare executive who’s been working in the healthcare field for nearly 25 years. Prior to moving to California, Tim worked at several hospitals in Chicago, including University of Chicago Hospitals, University of Illinois Hospital, and Children’s Memorial Hospital. In 2000, Tim joined the CHOMP family as Director of Safety and Risk Management. In 2004, Tim was promoted to vice president and currently leads the support services of the organization, along with a few clinical functions and the Peninsula Wellness Center. He is also the enterprise Risk Manager and Corporate Compliance Officer for Community Hospital Foundation. Tim Nylen graduated from Illinois State University in 1991 with a BS in Environmental Health and Occupational Safety. In 2012, Tim completed the CAHHS California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems) executive education program at UCLA/UC Berkley. Tim has a passion for volunteering and philanthropy. He currently serves on several non-profit boards including: United Way of Monterey County (current Board Chair), Community Partnership for Youth, the Central Coast Community Mutual Insurance Company, and California Healthcare Insurance Company. He is also very active with the Monterey Bay chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and was previously on the Peninsula Primary Care Board.
