Webinar Overview

Since it’s origination in 1913, the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) has undergone numerous revisions as well as title changes.

Today it is the most widely used source for strategies to protect people from the effects of fire and other emergencies in both new and existing buildings. The Life Safety Code is used in every U.S. state and adopted into local law in 43 states.

What is the Life Safety Code and how does it affect my organization? We’ll review answers to these questions as well as:   

–          Is the Life Safety Code the Law?

–          What Key Elements Should I Be Concerned About?

–          Do the 2012 Changes Affect My Organization?

–          How Does the Code Affect Various Occupancies?

 Participants will receive a copy of the presentation after the webinar.

Presenter

Mike Kelly joined the Alliant Insurance Services team in 2010.  As a senior risk control consultant, he assists clients with advanced forensics investigation, fire protection and sprinkler evaluations, occupational and environmental health assessments, loss prevention evaluations and advanced industrial hygiene testing.

Mike’s 30 years of property and casualty risk control experience includes working with large national and international accounts. He brings significant experience in Public Entity, Academia, Waste and Recycling and General Industry.

Mike is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and American Industrial Hygiene Association. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from California State University Long Beach.

 About the Webinar Format

This is an audio plus web format that enables participants to receive this training without leaving their facility.  Audio is streamed over the internet, thus eliminating the need to call in.   Participants are able to send questions to the presenter via instant messaging.
