October 2023 CHI Risk Manager’s Virtual Huddle

Overview

Optima Risk Management invites California CHI Risk Managers to join us for the October 2023, CHI Risk Managers’ Virtual Huddle.

While still maintaining an informal atmosphere, this huddle will differ from previous offerings as we will be focusing on MICRA changes and AB35. Attorney Bob Zimmerman from Schuering Zimmerman & Doyle, LLP, will be joining us to present on the subject and answer questions.  Participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance.

Faculty

Robert H. Zimmerman, Partner, Schuering Zimmerman & Doyle, LLP. Bob grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where he was a state pole vault champion. He is a member of American Board of Trial Advocates and American College of Trial Lawyers; he has had more than 150 jury trials to verdict in California and Nevada. The Sacramento Valley Chapter of ABOTA gave him the Trial Lawyer of the Year Award in 2002, which was the first time the award was given to a defense lawyer. Bob’s practice focuses on medical malpractice defense involving various healthcare providers, as well as hospitals and other facilities. He also defends elder abuse and general civil defense matters and is Board Certified in medical malpractice. He has been involved in numerous complex wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases.
