Overview

Health care quality and health outcomes are often worse for racial/ethnic minorities, women, people with disabilities, and those living in poverty. LGBTQ+ people face worse health outcomes than their non-LGBTQ+ peers in just about every category.  In order to achieve sustainable improvement, health equity must be viewed as a quality-of-care problem and requires an understanding of the root causes. This webinar will discuss the Healthcare Equality Index and provide practical training and resources to help healthcare organizations analyze, update, and adopt policies and practices relating to transgender healthcare and LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
