Overview

The safe use of health technology—from simple devices to complex information systems—requires identifying possible sources of danger or difficulty with those technologies and taking steps to minimize the likelihood that adverse events will occur. ECRI’s 2021 Top 10 Health Technology Hazard list helps healthcare facilities do that by identifying key areas of concern and offering practical recommendations for preventing harm.  Many of the topics on this year’s list address the need to move from just trying to cope during the pandemic to building stronger and more resilient processes, utilizing the innovations developed over the past year and the lessons learned along the way. Please join us for a one-hour webinar discussing the top health technology challenges that were identified for 2021 and ECRI’s guidance for carefully managing the risks associated with them.
