Randy Andrada obtained his bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College in 1973. He then graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1976 and immediately joined a defense firm in Oakland. He began representing hospitals in malpractice cases in 1980, and continues to do so today.
Randy established what is now Andrada & Associates in Oakland in 2001. The firm has had cases in State court venues ranging from Crescent City to Bakersfield and has a remarkable amount of experience in the Federal courts in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Fresno. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and was the youngest lawyer in the San Francisco chapter when he was offered admission. He is also a member of the California Medical Legal Committee, and numerous other bar organizations.
Randy has served as an arbitrator, mediator, and settlement commissioner. He has written and lectured on various matters, including civility within the profession. He was also president of the California Society for Healthcare Risk Management, 2006-2007.
